The Gnu Inn is a family-run village pub, serving fresh homemade locally sourced food.
Offering a fantastic range of beer & ales, with our great atmosphere, we’re sure you’ll enjoy your visit!
We are regulars at the GNU and love the friendly atmosphere along with the excellent landlord and landlady. The food is excellent, fresh and great value. Fish and chips gets a 10/10 from me. Sunday lunch is fantastic and the chefs certainly know how to cook traditional pub food. Keep up the excellent work team.
My sister and I were fortunate to stay at the Gnu inn recently for a couple of nights. The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable too. The room is set at the back of the pub and it is a very quiet area. We enjoyed a full English breakfast each morning at the time of our choosing which was very tasty. I recommend staying here and will be doing so in the future.
Visited for Sunday lunch, consistently great food, drinks and service. You definitely won’t be leaving hungry after one if their meals and you can forget about the diet!! My partner’s Guinness was so good that it’s been posted on the Guinness FB page. Thanks guys!
Excellent pub food served in a lovely country pub. Lee and Carol are friendly and attentive hosts and have brought the Gnu back to its former glory. Great menu and delicious well-cooked meals. The special nights (burger night, pizza night, steak night) are brilliant value and excellent quality with meat supplied by the local butcher. Full disclosure: we are locals! Love the Gnu.
We had Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it. Good sized portions of meat, Yorkshire pudding and several different vegetables all well cooked and presented. We also had a dessert which was equally delicious. The bar staff and waiting staff were all friendly and efficient and we will definitely return to The Gnu the next time we are walking in the area.
Stopped part way through our walk. Pleasant welcome. Good beer. Home cooked food. Nice 1 hour spent in a. East Yorkshire County pub. Thanks
We had a selection of the sharing platters, as didn’t want large portions of a meal that may be wasted. Just the right size for those without a great appetite.
We were made very welcome and on a very hot day were served lots of cold drinks with great understanding. Our lunch was tasty pub food which was served promptly. Overall we really enjoyed our visit and would heartily recommend the Gnu Inn.
